How to Measure
- Chest: Measure around the fullest part of your bust, keeping the tape parallel to the floor.
- Waist: Measure around your natural waistline — the narrowest part of your torso, usually about 2 inches above your belly button.
- Hip: Measure around the fullest part of your hips and buttocks, keeping the tape parallel to the floor.
- Length: Measure from the highest point of your shoulder down to where you want the kurti to end. Most of our kurtis fall at mid-thigh to knee length.
A Note on Hand-Crafted Fit
Because every KALAKARI piece is individually cut and sewn by hand, you may notice slight variations of ±1–2 cm in measurements from piece to piece. This is not a defect — it is the hallmark of handmade clothing. Each piece is checked for quality before it ships.
Dupatta lengths and embroidery placements may also vary slightly. We consider this part of the charm of owning something made by a person, not a machine.
